Pretty in Pink

I was lucky enough to enjoy a couple of days away this past weekend. It was nice to just slow down, relax and simply breathe.

There were no expectations. No real plans . . . just time to enjoy the company of my family.

We soaked up the beautiful sunny, warm weather. . . enjoyed beautifully prepared meals . . . and even took in a country market.

I was trying not to think about work . . . but when I saw this little beauty at the market . . . she screamed out to me.

She was so perfect.

Sturdy, useful . . . but obviously in need of a shabby transformation to make her new again.

She got the usual treatment . . . sanding, cleaning, painting, distressing . . .  and a whole lot of shabbilicious love.

She looks perfectly at home in the Woodberry Designs Studio . . . but soon she’ll be seeking a new home.

For now though, this little corner of the studio is looking very pretty and feminie  . . .  it’s hard to go past the romantic charm of roses and tutus.

I’m partying this week at the following parties: French Country Cottage, Faded Charm, The Vintage Farmhouse, 36th Avenue, Clean and Scentsible, Live Laugh Rowe, The Common Ground, The DIY Dreamer, At The Picket Fence, The Cottage Market.
